Officials say a gunman is dead after he killed three female family members and wounded a fourth at a residence near Crystal Lake Wednesday morning.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department responded around 3:56 a.m. Wednesday to the 5800 block of Wild Plum Road in unincorporated Crystal Lake for a shooting.
