Gunman opens fire on South Side home leaving 2 men wounded

CHICAGO - A shooting left two men wounded inside a home in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood Wednesday morning. Police said the victims were inside a residence in the 7700 block of South Laflin Street around 3:52 a.m. when someone opened fire from outside the back door.

Man charged in killing of off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s deputy is a convicted felon, authorities announce

CHICAGO — The man charged with killing Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy Rafael Wordlaw in an attempted armed robbery while Wordlaw was off-duty early Tuesday morning is a convicted felon. Police release image of SUV linked to shooting death of Cook County Sheriff’s deputy
