CHICAGO - A shooting left two men wounded inside a home in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood Wednesday morning. Police said the victims were inside a residence in the 7700 block of South Laflin Street around 3:52 a.m. when someone opened fire from outside the back door.

CHICAGO — The man charged with killing Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy Rafael Wordlaw in an attempted armed robbery while Wordlaw was off-duty early Tuesday morning is a convicted felon. Cordarrow Thompson, 32, of Chicago is charged with first-degree murder, along with six other felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and attempted armed robbery.
