Introduction to AR-15 Rifle is designed for anyone that is interested in learning or expanding his/her knowledge of the AR weapon system.

Full Description: This four hour class will teach the following: history, controversy, ammunition, the importance of the barrel twist, the pros and cons of AR use for personal home defense and loading/unloading. By the end of this class, you will know how to load/unload an AR platform, disassemble/reassemble and name all the parts in the upper receiver. Once you have learned all about the AR-15 rifle, you will then move to the range to receive instruction and shoot up to 100 rounds. Shooting takes place outside.

Things that you should bring to the class!

  • AR Rifle….if you do not have one you can rent one (limited number available)

  • 100 rounds of ammo
  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Appropriate clothing as shooting takes place outside

Is this a shooting class?

Yes…classroom instruction will take place and then range time (outside)

Do I need prior AR experience?

No…this is a beginner class.

Do I need to bring my own AR-15?

Yes we prefer you bring your own AR. However, we do have a few ARs to rent (limited amount available)

Are prescription eyeglasses acceptable for safety?

Not in the AR-15 classes. Due to higher case pressures, safety glasses will be required. There are safety glasses that will fit over your prescription glasses.
