A sexual predator, who is on pre-trial release for violating his registration requirements, was arrested after police caught him at the Illinois Beach State Park near Zion over the weekend. Thomas K. Barr, 53, of Zion, was charged with sexual predator loitering in a public park and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver.

A Waukegan Christian school teacher has been charged in numerous kidnappings and armed robberies that occurred in Chicago, police announced. Antoine Perteet, 33, of Waukegan, was charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, three counts of kidnapping with a firearm and one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
