A Chicago woman has been charged with fatally hitting a Waukegan man, who was a U.S. Army veteran, with her car and fleeing the scene in North Chicago.

The North Chicago Fire Department and North Chicago Police Department responded around 8:45 p.m. on November 10, 2022, to Lewis Avenue and 17th Street.
