A man wanted for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend, who was a teacher and a Waukegan native, is in custody after he allegedly shot an Illinois State Police trooper Tuesday.

Adrianna Lopez, 37, of Chicago, was walking on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Narragansett Avenue in Chicago around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
