A man arrested in Fox River Grove for attacking a police officer, which is a non-detainable offense under the SAFE-T Act, was sentenced to jail for contempt following vulgar comments in court just before his release.

Randy E. Kinney, 64, of Palatine, was charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, criminal damage to property between $500 and $10,000 and aggravated assault of a peace officer.
