A 62-year-old man has been charged after he accidentally shot himself while having a dream of someone breaking into his home in Lake Barrington, authorities said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:50 p.m. on April 10 to a report of a person shot in the 100 block of Shoreline Road in Lake Barrington.
