Prosecutors say a man pointed a gun at a woman and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire, during a burglary in Waukegan where he also attacked the victim, leaving her and a baby injured.

Jose L. Lopez-Ruiz, 28, of Park City, was charged with residential burglary, aggravated battery to a child, aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, four counts of domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
