A judge has denied pre-trial release for a man accused of committing an armed robbery before leading police on an hour-long pursuit on Interstate 94 through Lake County that ended in Gurnee.

Norbert Thigpen, 36, of Burbank, allegedly robbed a CVS store near 87th Street and Cicero Avenue in Chicago around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to police radio traffic and officials.
