GARY — An Indiana State Police K9 is recovering after she was shot during a police pursuit Thursday in Northwest Indiana.

The K9, a 4-year-old named Rogue, was part of an interagency pursuit Thursday morning that began on the interstate and ended in a Gary neighborhood. While officers and the K9 chased the suspect, shots were fired and the dog was struck in the paw.
