Authorities say a sheriff’s deputy shot a dog after multiple aggressive dogs, one of which remains on the loose, attacked people in a neighborhood near McHenry.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 6 p.m. Thursday to the area of West Heumann Drive and Stilling Boulevard in unincorporated McHenry.
