A judge released a man, who was previously convicted of murdering his wife, after he was arrested for attacking his current wife in Crystal Lake, leading to a brief standoff.

The Crystal Lake Police Department issued an alert to law enforcement agencies in the Chicago area around 12:35 p.m. Wednesday.
