A convicted felon has been charged after prosecutors say he returned fire on a car, which was occupied by a gunman who shot at his car and wounded a man in Waukegan.

Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Vukovich said the Waukegan Police Department responded on December 3 to the area of Sunset Avenue and McAree Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
