Authorities say two brothers, one of whom had a fake gun, kicked down the front door of a home in Wauconda while the residents were inside and ransacked a bedroom.

The Wauconda Police Department responded around 1:44 a.m. on October 15 to a residence in the first block of Peace Boulevard for a delayed report of a home invasion.
