CHICAGO — An investigation is underway as police look to determine why two boys were chased and shot on the city’s South Side on Monday afternoon. 

A police source told WGN-TV they believe the shooting was connected to several incidents that ended with a CPD SWAT team responding to a standoff later Monday.
