At least 16 people were shot, one fatally, during the weekend in Mayor Brandon Johnson’s (D) Chicago. ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times reported that the shooting fatality was a 41-year-old man who was shot “in the 8700 block of South Loomis Street” Friday around 7 p.m.

Chicago man shoots woman he knows in face after thinking someone was breaking into home: police

CHICAGO - A man shot a woman he knew in the face after he thought someone was breaking into his home in Park Manor late Thursday.  At about 11:58 p.m., a 59-year-old man was in his residence in the 6700 block of South Prairie when he believed someone was trying to break into his home.

Man dies after offender fires multiple shots through door of Chicago home

CHICAGO - A man was shot and killed by someone he knew in Park ManorThursday night. At about 9:51 p.m., a man went to a residence in the 200 block of East 69th Place, knocked on the door of a known victim and fired multiple shots through the door before fleeing the scene.

CHICAGO — A man was fatally shot by a person who knocked on his door on the city’s South Side, according to police. The shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East 69th Place in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.

Standoff in Chicago: Suspected shooter turns gun on himself

CHICAGO — A man shot himself during a police standoff Friday on the South Side after he was suspected of shooting his ex-girlfriend and two children earlier this month, according to law enforcement. SWAT teams responded first to the incident to the 9600 block of South Perry Avenue in the Longwood Manor neighborhood overnight.

Chicago: Man Shot At Same Address Where Two Were Shot Wednesday

A 48-year-old man was shot in Chicago shortly after 12:30 a.m. Friday at the same address where two men were shot two days prior, on Wednesday. CWBChicago reported that police responded to the Friday morning scene at 12:44 and found the 48-year-old had been “shot in the torso.”

Mother, child safe after apparent kidnapping on Northwest Side
