A man was released from custody after authorities say he threatened to kill a sheriff’s deputy and then put the deputy in a chokehold while resisting arrest at a gas station near Lake Zurich.

Dayon L. Sanders, 36, of Lakemoor, was charged with aggravated assault to a peace officer and resisting arrest.
