SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — An individual is armed and barricaded inside of a home near where a person was found shot in Schaumburg earlier this afternoon, according to village officials.

Village officials said police are on the scene of an armed barricaded subject near South Braintree Drive where a shooting investigation was launched Wednesday. Police said they believe the subject to be the person involved in a shooting that took place earlier in the day.
