A man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly chasing a woman in a church parking lot with a machete, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Pierce Horseman, age not listed, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. following an investigation. He was also booked for a warrant alleging misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 400 block of Clear Creek Avenue in reference to a man with a knife chasing a woman.

According to the booking report, a SET deputy observed a vehicle crossing over a solid white turn lane line and turn abruptly onto Koontz Lane, making an improper turn. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver was contacted. Dispatch alerted the man had a confirmed warrant for failure to comply with a $1,000 cash only bail. He was placed under arrest.

During a search of the man, an officer located a clear zip bag with methamphetamine inside. A K9 exterior drug sniff of the vehicle was done and the K9, Cash, alerted positive to the vehicle. The vehicle was searched. Officers located a gray plastic bindle with methamphetamine in the passenger door where the man was sitting and a bag on the passenger floorboard. Inside a box contained the following: A clear cup with methamphetamine, two clear zip bags with methamphetamine, three glass tubes and a clear plastic bindle with 23 Alprazolam pills, another pill bottle with 19 Alprazolam pills, not belonging to the man.
