An injured man armed with a meat cleaver died after he allegedly lunged at a sheriff’s deputy who was trying to provide medical aid to him near Round Lake Wednesday.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 4:05 p.m. Wednesday to the 34200 block of North Barberry Court in unincorporated Round Lake.
