Three men allegedly attempted a home invasion April 23 in Gwinnett County, Ga. When the homeowner heard a knock and cracked open his door, the strangers reportedly kicked it in and began firing at him. Although he sustained an injury, the homeowner managed to return fire, killing one of the assailants and causing the others to flee. The two other men were arrested and are expected to face charges of felony murder for the death of their accomplice; the homeowner was not charged. (wsbtv.com, Atlanta, Ga., 5/17/23)
