A woman was beaten and robbed by a man who may have been posing as a UPS worker while inside an elevator in Manhattan, according to police.

Local news outlet WABC-TV New York reported that a man used a sock that was filled with multiple objects to assault a woman in a building near 27th Street and 3rd Avenue in Kips Bay, in New York City.

Crime in the Big Apple is reaching farther into everyday life, as just days before, a man was arrested after allegedly stabbing two people with scissors outside the famous Magnolia Bakery in New York City’s West Village.

Breitbart reported that a 911 call was made just before 10 a.m. following a suspect allegedly slashing one 24-year-old man in the arm and wounding another man in the neck. Both were reported in stable condition.
