CHICAGO — A federal judge on Friday sentenced a suburban man to 27 years in federal prison followed by a lifetime of court-supervised release for his attempt to kill hundreds of people with what he thought was a 1,000-pound car bomb outside a Loop bar more than a decade ago.
Adel Daoud, of Hillside, was originally sentenced five years ago to 16 years in prison, but that sentence was overturned on appeal to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
