Gunman found dead after pointing rifle at officers, leading to hours-long barricade situation in Antioch

A SWAT team found a gunman dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after the man allegedly pointed a rifle at officers, leading to a barricade situation in Antioch.

The incident began around 6:40 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Hillside Avenue in Antioch.
