BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida sheriff’s deputy was arrested following the shooting death of his roommate and fellow deputy in what authorities are calling an “extremely dumb and totally avoidable accident.”

Deputy Andrew Lawson was charged with manslaughter by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in the death of 23-year-old Deputy Austin Walsh over the weekend, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a video news release.
