CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department sent out a community alert Wednesday regarding an attempted kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl in the city’s Portage Park neighborhood.

According to CPD, a 14-year-old girl was walking in the area of North Long Avenue and West Pensacola Avenue around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday when she was approached by a male who was standing behind a garage on West Cullom Avenue.
