CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department and the Gage Park community are mourning the loss of a fallen officer, as investigators continue the search for his killer.

Luis M. Huesca, a six-year CPD veteran working in the 5th District, was two days shy of his 31st birthday when he was shot multiple times in Gage Park on the city’s Southwest Side early Sunday morning and pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
