CHICAGO, IL — Reports from Chicago have indicated that a 61-year-old woman has been declared braindead following a brutal attack from an eight-time felon who was released on parole after robbing an undercover Chicago Police narcotics officer. The disturbing early morning attack has led to widespread online criticism of Chicago’s and Illinois’ restrictive laws on gun ownership.

According to CWB Chicago, Mijawon Johnson, 36, beat the unnamed woman during a robbery aboard a Red-Line train in the downtown area to such an extent that she was declared braindead and is expected to be declared legally dead.
