A group of juveniles surrounded, beat up, and stole from a 15-year-old boy on a Philadelphia subway platform last month, according to a blotter posted Wednesday.

Police said the victim was on the Septa Platform at 1400 John F. Kennedy Boulevard around 4 p.m. March 10 when several juveniles surrounded him. Police said one of the males punched the victim in the face and took his phone while the other males hit and kicked the victim and took other items from him.

  • “I see Septa officers all the time at the stairwell at Dilworth Park, never walking platforms or concourses, and all on their phones,” another commenter claimed. “Not even looking.”
  • [They’re] cowards with nothing else better to do in life,” another user stated. “What happened to going to a playground or having a lil’ part time job? Once somebody defends themself from one of those idiots, then [they’re] in the wrong smdh.”
