Alleged gunman in custody after 39-year-old man shot in front of residence in Harvard

A 39-year-old man was shot at a residence in Harvard and officers arrested the alleged offender as he attempted to flee from the scene Saturday evening. The Harvard Police Department and Harvard Fire Protection District responded around 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of West Brown Street for a report of a shooting.

Police arrested a man who allegedly threatened to shoot his neighbors and caused a two-hour standoff with officers in Wauconda Friday morning. The Wauconda Police Department responded around 9:09 a.m. Friday to the 600 block of Larkdale Row for a disturbance.
