CHICAGO — Three Chicago residents have been indicted on federal charges in connection with a deadly dayslong crime spree in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs in September of 2020. 

According to a federal superseding indictment returned on Thursday, 22-year-old Edson Resendez, 22-year-old Maverick Cela, and 23-year-old Prezila Apreza have been charged with firearm offenses, conspiracy, and carjacking.
