CHICAGO — One man is dead and another is in the hospital after Chicago police say they were shot Sunday night inside a home in the Roseland neighborhood on the city’s South Side.

According to police, the shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 9400 block of South Vernon Avenue. Officers responding to a person shot in the home found a 28-year-old man lying unresponsive, with three gunshot wounds to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
