Woman critical after being shot while in passenger seat on North Side

CHICAGO — A woman is in critical condition after she was shot while in the passenger seat of a vehicle on the North Side early Wednesday.

At around 1 a.m., police said a 21-year-old woman was traveling in the 5500 block of North Campbell when she was shot in the chest.
