Judge McGlynn from the Southern District of Illinois has issued a block on HB5471.  Currently, this is a temporary block until the law is completely reversed.  Regardless, Illinois residents can now buy any type of item they could before the ban.  No ban on firearms or magazine capacities. 


EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (WAND) — On Friday, Judge Stephen McGlynn of the Southern District of Illinois granted a statewide injunction against Illinois’ weapons ban.

The ban, which was signed by Governor JB Pritzker back in January, ended the sale, delivery, and purchase of certain firearms and high-capacity magazines.
