A suburb in Vancouver, Wash., which was usually considered safe, turned into a crime scene on the night of Dec. 15, 2022, when a man broke into a second-story window and got into a confrontation with the homeowner. The homeowner, however, was able to defend himself, shooting the intruder, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
