A woman has been charged in the homicide of her boyfriend, who was a father and a U.S. Navy veteran. Prosecutors allege she “gunned” her car before fatally running him over in Winthrop Harbor.

Candace M. Wrobel, 36, of Winthrop Harbor, has been charged with one count of reckless homicide by motor vehicle, a Class 3 felony.
