SWAT team takes suspect into custody after multiple people attacked, leading to standoff at Waukegan residence

A SWAT team took a suspect into custody after he battered multiple people, leaving three injured, at a residence in Waukegan and led police on a nine-hour standoff.

The incident began around 8 a.m. Tuesday at a house in the 1800 block of West Ridgeland Avenue in Waukegan.
