The mayor called it a “horrific crime” and police say they are working to determine whether the Waukegan High School volleyball coach shot and killed in Waukegan was an intended target.

The Waukegan Police Department responded around 10:36 p.m. Saturday to 10th Street and Lewis Avenue in Waukegan for a report of shots fired.
