Advanced AR-15 Rifle is designed to utilize the fundamental techniques learned in the prerequisite classes and progress further into advanced techniques.

This 4-hour block of instruction will focus on quick deployment of the AR- 15 weapons system and rapid target acquisition from CQB distances of 7yards to 25 yards, along with multiple target engagement.

  • Failure to fire
  • Double feeds
  • Catastrophic malfunctions
  • Reloading
  • Transition from rifle to pistol
  • Multiple target engagement
  • Shooting from standing and kneeling positions
  • Discussion of the theory of shooting while moving or moving then shooting
  • Shooting from cover

The instructor for this class is an active law enforcement Sergeant with over 20-year experience. 14 years on the SWAT entry team and team paramedic. Police experience includes full time department training instructor, warrant apprehension team, criminal investigations and highway patrol.

Things that you should bring to the class!

  • AR-15 Rifle
  • Sling on Rifle (two point or single point)

  • 3 – 30 Round Magazines (minimum)

  • 300 rounds of  rifle ammo

  • Wrap-around Eye Protection ***Normal wear glasses will not be proper protection. Shatter proof lenses are mandatory***
  • Hearing Protection
  • Tight necked t-shirt (prevents 2nd degree burns from the brass)
  • Mat (for the ground)

  • Gloves: your rifle will get HOT

  • Long Pants (prevents 2nd degree burns from the brass)
  • Shoes with Ankle Support
  • Water
  • Pistol with holster: two magazines (minimum)…50 rounds

  • 10 dummy/training rounds (recommended: brass cased rounds)

  • Optional: knee pads/rifle and pistol pouches/chest rigs to include plate carriers

Fitness is key for classes.

Is this a shooting class?

All the classes in the AR course except Intro to AR15 have live fire shooting.

Do I need to bring my own AR-15 Rifle?

Yes, please bring your own AR rifle to class. Rentals are not available for this class.

I have prior experience. Can I join this class?

Some prior military service certifications or training school certifications may be acceptable. This will depend on the approval from our instructors. Please contact us.

Are prescription eyeglasses acceptable for safety?

Not in the AR15 classes. Due to higher case pressures, safety glasses will be required. There are safety glasses that will fit over your prescription glasses.
