Skills and Drills-Drawing from the Holster Class is for graduates of our Concealed Carry Part 2 Class or those with a CCL.
Full Description: Red Dot Arms Training Academy’s Skills and Drills-Drawing from the Holster Class is open to anyone that currently holds a Concealed Carry License from their home state or has a certificate that demonstrates that they have prior training including use of a holster. Being able to draw your firearm quickly and safely, and shoot accurately in a life or death situation is critical! Practicing these skills truly may be a matter of life and death! This is strictly a range time clinic, there is no classroom time. Safe draws from and returning your firearm to the holster will be emphasized. Many commercial and private club shooting ranges do not allow you to even wear a holster, let alone draw your firearm and shoot from one. You will be wearing your holster and magazine pouches for the entire session as we will be practicing drawing and shooting. Becoming proficient at drawing a firearm from the holster takes many, many repetitions to build up the “muscle memory” necessary to draw the firearm safely, present to the target and shoot accurately. That is why regular attendance at a clinic like this not only will improve your holstering and shooting skills, it will help to give you the confidence that every concealed carry license holder needs to prevail in an emergency situation. More advanced students are welcome to attend this clinic for a refresher in good marksmanship habits and techniques. Our pistol instructors and range safety officers will be in attendance to help you along the way. This is a great way for you to continue practicing and building your shooting fundamentals in a safe and fun environment. Please join us as often as you like.
