Skills & Drills-Mastering the Fundamentals Class is for graduates of either the NRA Basic Pistol Training Class or Illinois Concealed Carry Part 1 Class.
Full Description: Recent graduates of the above, especially newer shooters will want to attend this class to build upon your skills and bolster your confidence with your firearm. Seasoned shooters and CCL holders will want to attend from time to time to hone their marksmanship skills. As we can only rise to the level of our training in an emergency situation, it is critical to continue training. Great fundamental skills and marksmanship are necessary to move forward in your training endeavors. This class takes place on the range; no classroom instruction. Our pistol instructors and range safety officers will be in attendance to help you along the way. This class is a great way for you to continue practicing and building upon your shooting fundamentals in a safe and fun environment. Skills covered include: marksmanship, breathing techniques, stance, grip, groupings, etc. Please join us as often as you can and you will see an improvement in your marksmanship and handling skills. Training certificates may be need to be shown upon request to participate in the class.

The class will consist of four hours of range time only; no classroom instruction is involved.

Prerequisites include: Concealed Carry Part 1 or NRA Basic Pistol Class.

To allow the student to repetitively practice the basic fundamentals to become as proficient as possible before moving on to the more advanced skills and drills classes.

What are the requirements to attend?
You must have an NRA Basic Pistol Class certificate or higher NRA rating, a Red Dot Arms Concealed Carry Part 1 or Part 2 Class certificate or higher, or have a concealed carry permit for your home state
Can I rent a firearm for this class?
No, rentals are not available for this class. We would like you to use your own firearm so that you become more comfortable with it.
I have never shot before. Can I take this class anyways?
No, you do need some prior training in order to take this class.
Are defensive shooting drills taught in the class?
No, this class is strictly about reinforcing good marksmanship skills and techniques.
Does this class count toward the 16 hours that are required by the state of IL?
No, this class does not count towards the 16 hours required to receive your concealed carry license.
